Following the completion of the feasibility, Gate & Bar have been retained to deliver the project through to completion. The scheme received planning permission in October 2022 and was procured through the SBS framework to modular contractors concurrently.
This approach allowed for the works to commence on site in December 2022 and good progress has been made on site since with site clearance, cut and fill completed.
Providing a circa 2,200 sqm new build block comprising 3 floors has its challenges including the location within the green belt and the high quality design and finish of the existing school building.
Ground clearance works have commenced with the retaining structures going in on this steep site ahead of the building foundations this month. The modular classroom have been constructed off-site and are awaiting delivery and installation once the pads have been laid and media connections are in place.
